Stereo upgrade - iso extension query

Hi guys first time posting here only just got my x5 it's a 2004 3 litre diesel (as i'm in the UK, and fuel is expensive! Lol) loving the car, unfortunately not much of the stereo works the bm54,the navigation, the TV, the bluetooth all have different issues, so planning to install a aftermarket stereo. I don't have the money to install one of the dynavin stereos at the moment, does anyone know if the 5 meter iso extension cables can be used with other stereo's?

Was thinking of just putting in a cheap single din bluetooth and then just swapping it over for proper dynavin type unit later?

Would this work?

Hi there. I have a 2005 x5 sport. I have the same dilema with my radio cassette. I have no use for the tv and it doesn't have the sat nav. (I kinda no where I'm going). Lol.
I just got an aux cable from eBay. It connects directly into a 3 pin connector on the radio loom. I use that for my iPhone ipod. Music mainly. I will get an aftermarket system later. But for the time being I'm over the moon with the cable. Very easy to fit. I'm in belfast.
