sunroof stuck, not what you think

last night I was driving home and closed the roof to take a phone call. Bugger wouldn't open or anything after. Sunshade works fine. What say you guys?

Any insight into this is greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks

-fixed! just a misfire. Brother put shit gas in... Also the engine light came on, (thanks truck) probably from the damp weather. -- hopefully

Any insight into this is greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks
i actually think it's come right off track. sounds like contact from one of the guide rails because it's clunking over bumps. This could be really easy or really horrible.

Ok so ive come to the conclusion that the rear vent is busted(which i knew) and the rest has to be reset. Problem is that the front portion is of course stuck so i cant access the spring to disengage the rear. Any help at all is so very much appreciated.

Many thanks again

ok so let me get this straight ;
your sunroof stopped working because of a misfire which occurred because your brother put cheap gas in the car and the engine light came on because of the damp weather...are you still surprised no one responded to your post?I mean how often do you come across this type of a problem?

I suggest you do a more intense search on google about your issue and I'm sure you'll figure it out.I'd give you some links but its 11:30 pm

There's another huge problem....you have no signature or other vehicle info...like model, model year, build date...so it's not clear which of the 2 types of sun roof you have...and you haven't mentioned to us if you have the regular or pano sunroof.

Help us help you better by creating a sig that includes this info, or type it into your posts when requiring a reply that may depend on specific things based on options or changes during the production run from 2000-2006.

Ahh...thanks...so you're dealing with the "pano" (panoramic) sunroof.

The back panel is a known issue. I've been lucky not to have this issue yet...but if you do a search here or internet...use the word "pano" or panoramic sunroof issues. Ive seen several in-depth threads & DIYs with the pano roof...even as intricate as replacing the entire "cassette".

Don't forget to look in the links at the top of the page (Articles/How To's/FAQ) for any previous discussions or DIYs.

Good luck.
