Check side light???
I'm getting "check side light" warning. What exactly is a side light? I've walked around the entire car but can't find anything that's not working. Side marker lights work fine too. Did I miss something or is this a glitch? |

Have you looked at your "Angel Eyes"? That message refers to one of them not creating a circuit (burned out/ fallen out/not there). If you had search for this message on this forum you would have noticed it has been mentioned every 6 months or so.
Oh, i had the same question when I purchased mine as the right side was out in month 2 of ownership. After looking at all the "sidelights" multiple times, I finally noticed the headlamp rings were dead on one side. Poor choice of words to describe Angel Eyes failure. Why not "H/L Rings"? Must be a German to English challenge for the engineering team. I have no idea if that same fault message is used on other lamps like a real side marker lamp either. Now go buy some upgrade ones!

The "CHECK SIDE LIGHT" warning is used probably because they illuminate along with the other lights that are considered side lights/parking lights...in other words, the lights that come on in the front when the headlight switch is turned to the first position (clock wise) from OFF.
