so to get this one touch signal light device to work, you have to tap three left positive and three right side postive wires at the lcm connector to activte the signal lights. can also find a power source there too apparently.

If you have an Intravee you can set up the turn signals for 3 or 4 flashes. Works great.

sadly i have no software or laptop with software to do these changes and since a local place can potentially do it for $50, i figured what the heck and try the $30 approach. but now that I know the wiring is a bit more labor intrusive, I'll pay to get the coding done and atually be happier.
I will still install this on my 850i tho.

The Intravee isn't software, it's an adaptor that works with an Alpine module to give you an auxiliary input (iPod, satellite radio, etc).

Toys In Your Car

It has a ton of cool features like a digital coolant temp readout on your nav screen and more.

i saw this feature on some cars and some motorbikes... while i totally understand the need for it, somehow i find it annoying when the lights are blinking everytime that old lady taps the brakes, warranted or not...

I use european approach, since i steer with my left hand while my right hand is resting on the gear shifter (three pedal gearheads would understand), my hand is in very close proximity to emergency flashers... when i hit the brakes where deceleration is great, as coming to a stop on a highway, or some serious slow down, I look in the mirror and throw the flashers on, and at the same time look for an escape way out, should the guy behind me ignore the flashers and continue at his highway speed... The same idea is behind the BDF - Brake Distribution force, that lights up all red lights in the back...

now, having said that, I wonder if the rear fogs would light up under hard braking...

I've been searching, off and on, for a solution to the comfort signal/3 blink feature for my X. I do quite a bit of Interstate driving, and it's very nice for lane change, etc, instead of holding the stalk down.
I searched here on the forum for Intravee, but seemingly, most folks use it to integrate IPod/IPhone into their audio. Haven't found much else on them.
ADMRANGER (or anyone else), can you tell me if this is possible, or better yet, provide a link with some info on all the "cool features" available thru Intravee? Would be greatly appreciated...
