Yes i know this subject has been gone over many times. I feel like I have read through nearly every thread I can find. So here is what I have going on.
02/2000 X5 4.4
New car to me. Key fob will not program. Battery in key fob is good.
Just replaced center locking button.
From the outside door lock I can lock and unlock all door including hatch and gas door. The drivers door only locks and unlocks when the key is turned the full 90 each direction. Led on rear view mirror blinks showing no problems.
The drivers door does not seem to lock or unlock electrically with the center switch. Im guessing the door lock actuator is bad, but can that keep the remote from working?
My next guess is that the FZV is bad. Im not looking forward to tearing down the headliner to diagnose it and wish I had an oscilloscope to actually see if it is passing a signal to the GM3.
I have been trying to do some diagnosis with my ISTA setup, but im not getting anywhere with that.
Any help would be appreciated. Feel free to be as technical with your responses as youd like. I can keep up.
