Idle vibration-SOLVED-MAYBE!?
If you all remember, late last year I had posted about a vibration at idle on my X. Not major, but bad enough to be felt thru the steering wheel and the seat od my pants. I had thot it might disappear after all the engine maintenance I had done. Well, it didn't. Never really got worse, just continually drove me nuts. I ran a bottle oe seafoam thru a tank of gas, thot that mite do it, but nothing. Yesterday i bought some Lucas upper cylinder lube and injector cleaner for gas or diesel. I instantly noticed a difference at idle, varies from little to no vibration.Time will tell if this took care of it. Does anybody regularly run fuel additives?

Same here. Bottle of techron once a year. 93 octane all the time. Never used an oil stabilizer, but the oil I use has a ton of detergents in it to keep my engine clean (Rotella T6 5w-40)

Only use 93 as well. I'll wait a couple months and throw some Techron in there, but hopefully it'll stay away...

In the winter if its cold out, I know you have a huge garage but it prob gets decently cold, run 2 bottles of the Red HEET to keep your fuel system dry and solve any problems in winter. Our X's gas tank is so friggin big that keeping the HEET in there helps with any moisture buildup.

I use Heet in my truck and smaller Honda engines, I'll definitely use it in my X this winter!

I don't use any additives, but I stick with Shell gasoline, running midrange during cooler months and premium during the hotter, or when I'll be making a long highway run. I've seen service bulletins from Honda on O2 sensors and EGR components that require replacement from high additive use, so I just make sure to use a quality fuel that I consistently purchase from the same station whenever possible. Saturn also used to warn about catalytic convertor degradation from too many additives. I went 126,000 miles on the original spark plugs and 116,000 miles on the second set with no issues, and only just replaced the original pre-cat sensors about three months ago.

honestly, I'll dump a can of Seafoam motor treatmen in every 2nd or 3rd fill up using only 91 as 93 is not that common around here
(ie, used to mean every 2nd or 3rd week but now its probably a month and half go by before I throw it in again). Why not. its $12 for a can and not saying it has stopped any problems with my engine, but having said that I've not had any either so maybe it IS working.
