				Steering angle sensor glitch (hopefully)

Got famous BMW lights trifecta the other day (traction, brake and ABS) out of blue. My AutoEnginuity scan tool showed these codes: 5B Steering Angle Sensor CAN Error 5A Temporary System Deactivation Battery is almost brand new and regularly put on battery tender, so I don't think it was low voltage. I cleared the codes but they immediately came back. Than I tried moving steering wheel all the way to the right and then all the way to the left and right before I reached extreme left, lights went out. I've done this with ignition on, engine not running. I went for a few miles ride and no issues. There is no guarantee but if you encounter the same codes, try this first as it might be just a glitch. I wonder how many people paid $$$ for new sensor while possibly having only a glitch. My understanding that if sensor is bad, this simple reset won't clear the lights. I've read about the steering left / right reset here on the forum but I don't remember where exactly. So whoever posted it, thank you. I'll update later, hopefully with no change.
