Aux fan - replaced and problem solved

The job is done - aux fan has been replaced with an aftermarket one, and the fan now runs as it should.

No pics as the task is well documented on this fine forum.

I disassembled the old fan to see if there were any obvious signs of failure. Once the electronics were exposed, it was pretty obvious to me... The electronics are encased in epoxy, but there was obvious swelling over a couple of components.

The replacement fan is a slightly different configuration, with the electronics housed separately to the fan motor. Regardless, she works fine.

You should go back to your original post and post there that you have fixed the problem.

Good point. I tried to amend the thread title to include the word *fixed* but it wasn't possible.

Just go to your first post and edit the first post, you should be able to edit the title to add the word FIXED.
