2 1/2 ton floor jack Costco

Just posting this here quickly as am it Costco as I type ...Arcan 2 1/2 ton floor jack for 99$.Is it worth it?
Made in China and the maximum lift height is 18.5"
Is that enough for our SAV's?
Harbor freight is not too far from me so if this ain't good enough might stop by HF but I don't doubt it those are made in China as well.Should I look for some American made stuff?i need a good jack to last me for years to come.
Let me know what you guys think.

I'd just get the harbor freight 3 ton. I believe it is 79 right now with a coupon. My buddy has had his 3 ton for about 4 years and it works great. I just bought the low profile one so I can finally lift up my E30 without driving it onto blocks. It works great on my X5 as well.

I had a duralast jack before this one and it sucked.

I second the harbor freight jack. Had mine almost 3 yrs it works great. Their jack stands and torque wrenches are spot on too

My experience is if it is not electrical H.F. is ok. Anything with a motor stay away.

I have a couple HF torque wrenches too. They work great. I picked them up after my snap on broke.

I look more closely at the lift height than the tonnage; 18.5" is probably ok for an e53, but higher is better. I bought a floor jack at Sears several years ago with a 22.5" lift. I'm a big guy and appreciate the extra few inches.

fwiw, I have ramps I use to get the front off the ground & my jack lifts the back which I then put on jackstands.

Have you checked out the 3 ton Michelin jack at Sams Club??? Under $100.

Michelin 3 Ton Low Profile Floor Jack with Dual Pump - Sam's Club

Best sub $100 jack I've ever seen.
