Hi, yesterday i work in the transmision, i take out the valve body to clean it, i buy the 3 shift solenoid and the pressure soleniod, put new atf and filter. I test the X5 and when it shift to 3rd trans failsave and check engine comes on, i scan and this code comes on, p0733, this is what i find

Low transmission fluid level
Dirty transmission fluid
Shift soleniods

I,m thinking in put again the old solenoids

I need to reset the computer after change the solenoids??

Auto transmissions (particularly modern ones) are pretty intricate pieces of equipment. If you are prepared to go taking things apart and replacing components, you obviously know more than many people here, or are simply prepared to take more risks.

put key In ....2 clicks "on" position ...floor the gas pedal till you feel a button kinda pushing it down..hold it for 1 minute, you should hear a beep sound.....then start the car..and drive ...

This procedure actually works? I don't think it does, at least for E53.

What is this suppose to do?? Reset adaptation? You should explain what this procedure is suppose to do so that the owner can decide for himself whether to use this procedure.

OP: when you put in new transmission fluid, did you fill the transmission until it started to run out the fill hole, put the plug in, start the X5 and put the shift lever in each gear for a few seconds, put it back in park, leave the engine running, add transmission fluid until it starts to run out? If you didn't do these steps (after ensuring the vehicle is level), then you've likely found your problem.

with a couple of detail additions-- run through each of the gears with the brake on and let the engine run until the temperature of the fluid is up to 140 degrees. .
