Interior handle/arm support trim and other q's from a new owner

hey! got the 4.6 but didn't have time to take any pics just yet and it was dark.

Anyways, I noticed the driver's handle/armrest trim is pretty scratched up. it's black/silver (brush aluminium). what can I do about this? do they sell just the trim piece or..... do I just throw my hands up and just get some CF wrap and wrap it up?

she didn't come with the cargo cover. she's got the power reclining seats and:
1: how do you recline it from the back seat if the switch is all the way in the back????
2: where can I get one that's for power tilt rears?

the mat didn't seem to be OEM or it was from the rear and the fronts are gone. should I:
1: get OEM off fleabay/amazon?
2: get all weather mats from Costco (love that place!)?

I've got this iPod connector with a... MIC???? what??? can I just drop in a BT something something to it? Thinking about doing the Dynavin but really want android setup instead of windows. Thoughts? suggestions? really like the OBC read-outs on the screen though... :/

I have stealth one. Where is the wire I tap into for it and what color?

Sorry for the q's. figure i'll consolidate it than make unique thread for each.

Thanks!!!

Check realOEM for part#. Remember they will scratch up again. Wrap them up in vinyl of your choice.

she didn't come with the cargo cover (buy used one online/craiglist or the classified section). she's got the power reclining seats and:
1: how do you recline it from the back seat if the switch is all the way in the back???? <-There should be switch on the C-pillars.
2: where can I get one that's for power tilt rears? <-If you're talking about the back seat, don't think we have an option for that. If you're talking about the cargo cover, they are all the same.

the mat didn't seem to be OEM or it was from the rear and the fronts are gone. should I:
1: get OEM off fleabay/amazon? <- fit better
2: get all weather mats from Costco (love that place!)? <-lower price.
Which one do you think your 4.6iS deserved? I hate the mats that move around.

AFAIK the cargo covers are different for reclining and non-reclining rear seats. I purchased a used one and the seller specified w/ reclining seats which our X has.

Buy new OE floor mats. We did and I think they were ~$110. You live in TX like us so you don't have to worry about them getting messed up really quickly with road salt and debris. I feel for those in the north.

Yours is facelift model. OP has 4.6iS which is pre-facelift

All pre-facelift X5 use the same cargo cover. They have 3 part# for different color only.
You are correct regarding facelift X5 cargo cover. They are different for reclining and non-reclining rear seat back.

Thanks for clarifying... still learning the e53 chassis as this is my first X vehicle. More familiar with the 3's and 5's of all chassis.

Oh and if the trim you are talking about is the ones on the actual pulls... just wrap them in your choice of vinyl color. We priced out some new graphite ones to match the new door handle I installed and those plastic pieces were like $250+ each. LOL. The illuminated door handle I installed was only $50ish... but that part is $250+. I ended up wrapping the pull trim in vinyl. I am referring to #7 in the diagram below btw.
