recharge batery from terminals under bonet???

Hi.

I have a flat bettery as it has been siting for a few weeks and i have an lpg tank in the boot so it will be a nightmare to remove the battery to recharge it.

Can i recharge the battery by connecting it to the terminals under the bonnet?

thank you.

Yes you can. Problem is only that completely flat batteries will not hold the charge as good as new ones. But that is a different story.

Good luck

Cake; be sure to attach pos/red first, then neg.
The pos is under the snap open cover...the neg is a lug
on the seam of the top inner fender.

I charge my batt with a floating/maintenance charger through those lugs,
all the time.

hi to all ctek users, are you all happy with the chargers? planning to get a CTEK mxs 5.0 tomorrow for the X5, ok to be frank was tempted to sit and wait around for a charger 1/4 of the price to hit the shelves of Lidl (pretty big supermarket chain in europe) BUT cant wait for 2 months, plus happy paying extra for the CTEK seeing as so many people are happy with them....reading this post also made me confident I can connect to the jump post to charge battery...(as for recon mode i will play safe and remove battery altogether unless others have done a recon via the jump start posts?)

heres the other cheaper charger that i may pickup as a backup

I have this exact one -besides my trusted CTEK. And this one does not do what the CTEK does.
It is a very cheap made charger. And apart from the also very cheap price, i doubt that you will be happy with it.
