x5 e53 low idle when in drive
I have been experiencing a low idle while I am at a full stop still in drive. Also, a few days ago, when I started my car, it was very rough. I cleaned the maf and disa valves. Does anyone know what else I should check?

Did you get the service engine light or check for any error codes? You might also look for vacuum leaks, especially in the intake boot. Other possibilities include a bad coil, fouled plug or even the VANOS.

The service light came on a few days ago, but it did not stay on long enough for me to get it checked out. It only come on for a few hours and then it just went off. I will try to check the other possibilities.

Are you referring to the ignition coil and spark plug when you mentioned plug and coil?
