Instrument cluster display Max 35

I recently get a warning message on our cluster that reads Max 35. Have any one here ever receive that message ?

Help us help you better...remember to give model/model year/build date info...or enough details as to be able to answer your question based on how your X is optioned.

Do you have the MID or the Nav screen? Has anyone been playing around with the MID or Nav screen settings?

What was the circumstances going on when the warning appeared? Could it be tied to anything related to 35 like 35 MPH or 35 ° F/C? temp setting? Are you sure it wasn't the ICE warning which will display when ambient temps reach 37.5° F?

If possible, if it appears again, see if you can grab a pic so that we can see it.

If you have an owners manual...you can turn to the section on Check Control...and all of the Priority 1 & 2 warnings are listed. I don't recall anything that says MAX 35...so a Check Control warning can be discounted. That would leave the other features of the vehicle that sends messages to the instrument cluster's display. Where you listening to the radio? It could be the name of a song...or something being sent over the air by the radio station if you have RDS/PTY initiated.

Max 35

Sorry its a 2004 4.8is w/ nav. Every time you accel it pops up Max 35 but does not hinder perf.My thoughts maybe outside temp had to do w/ it also maybe winter tires . Ambient temp works fine and proper winter tire setup .

does the OBC have a max speed warning setting? I feel like my e36 had that. You set a speed and it tells you when you've exceeded it.

Are you positively sure you don't have a MAX speed limit set at 35? If you press the MENU button on the nav...then select OBC...then turn until you get to the speed limit setting...double check to see if 35 is in the box at the far right across the top. If it says 35...then the speed limit setting isn't turned off.

The little I/0 box has to be NOT highlighted for the maximum speed limit warning not to be set. It can easily be turned of...but set to come back on...see the instructions below from the manual:
