Trans Harness Replace / Repair
HowTo-> Electrical: Transmission Position Switch Rebuild
Anyone done this procedure? Is it pretty much plug and play? Wondering if I should repair or replace. I'm fairly certain the seal on mine has been breached and is shorting out when moisture gets in there. Perhaps cleaning the contacts and a heavy dose of silicon are in order. My symptoms sounds almost exactly the same as what was described in the link above: http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...safe-prog.html Best price I've found on the harness is $142: 24 34 1 423 719 | 24341423719 | - | BMW E31 E38 E39 E53 X5 A/T A5S 440Z Wiring Harness OEM | New-Part.com
