Are e53's prewired for nav?

Just curious. I've been swapping some interior bits like seats and power reclining rear seats into a friends x. Seems like everything so far is prewired.
My plan is to retrofit nav into my x but I was wondering, since everything else so far is prewired, would nav be too?
If not no biggie. I plan on changing the grey carpet over to black, so when I do, I'll run the wires for nav then if needed.

Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
You most likely will need the harness I think.

Thanks for the link. Just scanned through it.
Any thoughts on using a different antenna location? Don't realy want to run wires up into the lid. Was thinking of putting them just above the nav near the other antenna arrays. I'm not doing the retrofit for the actual nav. Mostly just for the screen and the ability to use an intravee.

Honestly, running a wire up into the rear spoiler for the gps antenna will be a cake walk compared to retrofitting the rest of the wiring harness in the vehicle.

They are not pre-wired, just look at the thread about the OEM Nav install and it will scare you away...lol! You'd be better off installing the new Dynavin N6, which by the way is now DSP compatible, the OEM nav is completely outdated by today's standards. Check out the thread on the front page about the new Dynavin N6.

This is what I came in to say.

Most OEM nav stinks compared to aftermarket.

Well, like I mentioned, I want the ability to use an Intravee. Not oem nav. Not to mention, it's all free. I have everything I need to do the retrofit. Including Bluetooth, bm53, widescreen, TV tuner ...

I have a Pioneer NEX8000 in dash, it has built in NAV & can use WAZE, Genius Maps, Google & Apple NAV.

I still use my 7" Garmin mounted to my windshield.

Enjoy your project!
