Seat height adjustment has stopped working...

Hi - I pushed my seat back after my vertically challenged GF had driven, but I’d left a mini tool box under the seat. (I used the memory function, so it also tried to lower it etc). Needless to say the seat got jammed, but I managed to pull the box out... now the seat height won’t adjust. I can hear the relay clicking but that’s it. Front portion of the seat will raise and lower - but rear portion won’t and my GF can’t see over the steering wheel now....

Grateful for suggestions as to what to check, as I can’t easily raise the seat to peer underneath...

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
You more than likely simply broke a wire. Since you can't raise the seat likely the easiest thing to do will be too remove all four seat bolts and tip the seat backwards.

If you hear just the relay click that's good news if you hear the motor whirr and no motion that's not good news.
