My rattle is on the inside of the bottom gate..That spring loaded flapper panel..I guess the springs are tired..drives my wife nuts (so I'm leaving it) lol

Also check the trailer hitch step (plate). My hitch step plate rattling so I wrap it with duct-tape around the inserter and that fix it.

Thanks....Mine has been rattling for a few weeks now and getting louder. I read this post and ordered the spring loaded bumper stops....from ECS Tuning $89 for the pair.

Any chance you happen to remember the torx bit size? I'd like to confirm this is in fact the culprit before I purchase the spring loaded stops referenced in the thread.

Suggest buying a set. I reward myself and justify buying tools I need because I save so much by doing most repairs myself.
