Loss of power and smoke. X5 E53 3.0D
Hello everyone. I have read most of the posts on here regarding lack of power and smoke. Yesterday I removed the egr and cleaned it out. To be honest it wasn't as dirty as I thought. I also replaced the air filter and cleaned out the air box. Started the car and let her tick over for a few minutes before setting out on a journey to pick up kids.
Did drive a bit better. But on the way back again the same problems again. Lack of power on take off and realy lumpy. Smokey again. I've only had the car a month. I've got it booked in this week to get a diagnostics check. Do any of you guys no of any other causes of this.
Oh after the car blows off the smoke the power kicks in and she goes as normal. Any help would be great.
Thanks
Stephen.
