My Goldern Unicorn came in
My biggest challenge/issue on just having them redyed was both a textural change and the mismatch of stitching. OE is tan with brown stitching. Now I have OE so that makes it all a moot point ! ![]() ![]()

Indeed....this was always one of my mods list, and nothing less than OE *tan with brown stitching* always held me back from just having a upholstery guy go it. Along with the exact texture of the OE that came with the car. Upholstery guy has various grains he can choose from, and even when looking at all of them, none of them was a perfect match. One had to compromise.
Anyhow, it turns out it's not just a cover but almost a full seat core. The cushioning, etc is all on the bottom. NONE for the front part that extends out. The bolster has me me looking more as there seems to be too much room in that area, not filled out by the cut styrofoam. Any decent upholstery guy usually adds/tweaks as he assembles it. But literally it's a CORE replacement and I'm not undoing clips, etc to remove the cover off the current foam, etc. Had the heaters already built in, etc |

Thats awesome, any pics of old vs. new?
Larry Kosilla did a video recently of a nice upholstery shop in CT, I was actually unaware that most of the time the foam can be reused just needs some heat to "expand it" after years of being crushed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEVzePlDJYs

Absent 'before and after' pictures, you don't have a unicorn. Sort of like the loch ness monster ......
