All fixed and running.
Confirms my previous suspicions the pump was going bad, car was quick before but is a totally different beast now at all rpm ranges. Old pump out of holder ![]() New pump in ![]() Mounted ![]() Crimp hose ![]() ![]() ![]() Connect it back up ![]() New strainer ![]() Mounted back in, youll need to figure out how to seat the gasket ![]() After that there is a metal circle ring that screws on top of that. Hand tighten and tap it with a screwdriver and hammer a few times to tighten down. Connect up hose/clamp, electric connector, then 4 10mm nuts for top cover plate. Reinstall seat and 16mm bolt for middle seatbelt. Done

So you brought just a replacement pump and not the entire assembly. Which pump did you buy? The Bosch, Pierberg, or something else?

I got mine off rockauto.com , i order alot of parts from here and in terms of customer service and ease of exchange/refund etc on parts they are awesome, like amazon of carparts..
Mine was the spectra one in this list, https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,c...,parttype,6256 Hope the link works doing it off my phone. I also got a MANN fuel filter that im going to install once it warms up a bit, even with the propane heater in garage is still chilly at the temps we are getting this week.

did you change the filter too? most of the time the pump fails because of the filter

Most 'in-tank fuel pumps' are cooled by the fuel in the tank, no fuel in the tank or less than 50 miles (!!) youre probably running the pump too warm! this happened to me once, its as Gurjit said an easy fix nothing difficult, pull out the back seat bottom, and its on the passenger side, takes about 15 min tops. ( ive done a few!!)
