Which x5 is better (2010-2013) 3.5i or 3.5d?

Hey guys

I'm shopping for some x5's from 2010-2013, however I'm stuck between the 3.5i or 3.5d. I would like some honest opinions and experience's with the two.
Which one of them are more reliable On maintenanceand less expensive , which one of the two is faster and has better mpg? What are the common problems, minor and major? Any thoughts would be gladly appreciated. I forgot to mention out of the two, which ever one I get would be used as a daily driver.

blue dragon will become famous soon enough
For the mileage you do, diesel. For the reliability, gas

I am quite happy with my 09 35d, but watch out for bad thermostats that can lead to killing the glow plugs and DPF. There are other emission related issues with the US diesels, that I don’t have to deal with. The torque is great but if your not careful you can still burn through fuel.

Thank you for your advice. I just wanted to know between the two, which one is easier on maintenance?

Diesels are all I own now including a 335d and Ford F350. The main issue with the X5d is complications in the urea/after-treatment system. It is an advanced first gen system that can be problematic and expensive to diagnose and repair. Today's BMW's are complex to begin with. Delete that junk and the d is one of the most reliable, efficient and powerful vehicles on the road IMO. 148k and no issues here. I realize modifications are not for everyone, just my 2 cents.

To be on the safe side I might just get a x5 with a warranty
