Anyone have a DIY for rear brakes

I've done brakes on all my cars before, the issue for me is the parking brake which activates once the car is shut off.

Does Rheingold or INPA have a function for disabling the parking brake when doing the rear brakes?

Did my rears some time ago (same year & model) an don't recall having any trouble with p-brake.

My 2007 4.8l does not show the parking.brake light when ignition is turned off. One must use the button to set the parking park brakes as far as I can tell. Fyi I am planning on replacing front and rear pads in about a month so I too am interested in any special things that must be done when servicing the brakes. The one thing I known is if bmw can make it require special service they will. Like replacing the battery.
