2007 X5 e70 Alarm Siren Goes Off on Arming

2007 BMW X5 (E70)

Problem: Currently on pressing the lock button on the Key FOB results in the car arming and the alarm siren going off 3 seconds after.

I tried double pressing the lock button to disable the internal sensor but it does not make a difference. Car does not show that any enclosures are open. I also replaced the battery (exact match 90Ah and pressed F5 B Change in INPA) being quite hopeful but the problem still persists. I am pretty certain the car registered the battery change.

Any tips on how to troubleshoot this problem?

issue with the physical button on your key? do you have a second key?
