X5 Problems with Programming Garage

Hi All,

I have a new liftmaster garage door opener and an '11 X5 Diesel.

I've read the manual, watched videos, and for some reason I can't get my garage door to worth with the buttons on the mirror.

I've tried a million distances but no matter what I can't get the light to go from slowly blinking to blinking fast.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

This is probably what you need:

I'm not sure if it is or not. So when I hit the button on the remote and my homelink mirror, the light starts to blink slowly. After about a minute it just stops blinking completely.

Isn't it supposed to start blinking fast?

I have the bridge kit (takes the liftmaster to old tech signal) and I still can't get my 2010 to respect the programming. It "programs" fine per the led but then no joy from the opener... I was able to program a 2008 135i fine and even a 2001 Land Rover (please no comments...) but the E70 is not working...

Did you press the LEARN button on the garage lift unit?

I can't get my 08 to program with the liftmaster unit either. Going to order the repeater from Amazon as it's easy to return if that doesn't fix it.

I've got the repeater and was able to teach several other cars to operate my doors but not the X5

It learns the code, but the door never responds to the button press.

Hey op. Did u try erasing all & any previous codes prior to setup? I too have a 11' 35d. And just got through a roller coaster with my homelink. I have an older genie and used a Chamberlain universal and no luck. I bought online the older Genie remote and all worked in as should. The Chamberlain universal remote did not have the homelink available feature. But I read up on homelink site that some remote itself needs to be pressed/ set into program mode then simultaneously pressing the desired homelink button. And go from there.
Good luck.
