Yes with extended bluetooth.

Ensure the phone is not connected via usb. Goto telephone. Select your phone in the list and options. See if the muisc option is selected. If no music option exists then you dont have extended bluetooth.

Also, IF you do have it, you need to select it as a source in the CD/Multimedia menu where it should be listed as an (external) device.
You won't get the BT feed if you select it under PHONE menu.

I think...

Run your VIN through here

BMW Model Archive · BMW VIN Decoder · bmwarchive.org

I believe you need option code S6VCA ("Combox") in your vehicle to do streaming bluetooth.

Fantastic! Glad to help. (I had to figure it out when I got the truck too)
Now, you mentioned you get texts??? I don't get texts from my Android phone. How/where do I set that up? I am hoping its not only available with iPhones...

I got texts with my Android phones prior to my current iPhone. However, when I went to the configure option after pairing, messages weren't selected by default, iirc. Once I turned that on, they came through

Thanks, I just went into my phone, Message Access WAS checked. (along with Phone, media, and contacts). I unchecked it, and then re-selected...
Is there an equivalent option in the car I need to check also? Will check later.

How do the messages show on the screen? I have never seen it.
