INPA not working

Recently sold my e53 and bought an e70. Yesterday, I tried using INPA and DIS and neither seem to acnolege the car. Is there a difference with the OBD/USB adapter with the newer model? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes, at some year (thought it was 2004 or 2007) it changed. If you disassemble your adapter, you will probably see two of the pins soldered together.. it needs to be removed for newer models.

Took the adapter apart and noticed the two pins bridged. I don't think I want to chance it therefore I think I may just order a new adapter or perhaps mycarly. Thanks for the help
