I replaced the fog lights in my E70 with 3000K HIDs and coded out the cornering lights as it does not give full voltage to the bulbs and thus causes an initial flicker of the HIDs which I didn't care much for.

When you live out in the sticks where I do you are glad of cornering lights!

I am going to swap out my Fogs with LED's so they should still work as cornering lights, not sure about the fade out, may need to work in NCS to see if I can code the fade out to just turn off.

Just use your fogs all the time with low beams, especially with HID bulbs you can see waaay to the sides. I can see deer on the sides of the road but cant see them with just low beams on.

Problem is HID's in Fog will blind oncoming drivers with no cut off shield.

Projectors typically have a cut off shield and will allow the upper part of the beam to be masked.

I get the same reaction when the fog turns on when turning. I've heard "You have a fog light out" a bunch of times.

On topic- I have the carly adapter, which you can turn off this feature. However, is there a way with carly that you can code the fogs to automatically come on whenever the headlights turn on? I didn't see anything when I was playing around with it.

I didnt see anything either, if you leave the lights on Auto, you can have the fogs come on as the welcome lights with the low beams when you unlock the car. The switch has to be left in the Auto position though.

I tried to code it out with Carly because I also dislike this feature, however they still continue to come on when I'm turning. Rather annoying.
