X5 35i - 4x4, Transfer Case, parking brake Malfunction - VGSG, DSC, EMF Errors

I have a 2011 X5 35i with what seems a 4x4 issue. This just happened while driving normally on the highway. As I was driving the car went into limp mode. I pulled into my driveway I smelt a light burning almost like brake but it seemed to be coming from the front left of the car and almost a little bit of a crunching noise. The next day I just drove the truck around the block and it shifts fine, engine runs fine once the car goes in reverse or forward the 4x4 errors come on. I also note now that when I am even on a slight incline once my foot lets off the brake the truck will roll back on me. This has not been the case prior.

A brief history on the transfercase is I had my my front propeller (drive) shaft fail while driving. Both the transmission and transfercase were inspected for damage and an new shaft was installed. The car has been driven over 1k miles since this incident with no issues.

Not sure but I might be thinking maybe the transfer case was damaged and no longer working? This car does not have a transfer case actuator like the E53 or some other models E70 so its not that. Maybe I am missing something else that it could be instead of the whole transfercase. Note the case is no longer under warranty.
