Valve cover gasket

My gf has a 2007 X5 3.0 and I noticed the valve cover gasket leaking.

Figure i'll go ahead and change sparkplugs while I'm there.
How big of a PITA is this to replace?
Any suggestions or tips?

Has been suggested that I stick with OEM gasket...what about the sparkplugs? Was gonna with Denso Iridium..

Pretty handy when it comes to mechanical stuff..

Thanx in advance!

It is a PITA.

You will not have much problem with front four spark plugs. As you get to the back you will curse the engineers.

I hope you have a small boy to assist you as man hands don't fit well to get the back tow plugs.

I had to buy this special tool to take out the back spark plugs. It was definitely a PITA.
