Idler Pulley

When I rev the engine the noise goes away. This happened about 2 weeks ago and now the noise is gone. Is this the Idler Pulley?

(you can also see the oil leak on the oil filter housing)

Similar issue on mine after the oil filter housing gasket crapped out. I had that noise and also had some squealing after replacement and replaced the belts and pulley and the noise has yet to return.

How did you take the A/C belt off? Did you use a special tool to do it, cuz I believe it's a stretch belt. What pully did you replaced?

thanks in advance!

I ended up buying one of those slider belt tools on amazon. I cut the ac belt with a pair of tin snips. Putting the belt back on requires efforst, beer and swearing.

You do need to manually turn the crankshaft in order to slide the belt on, right? Kinda debate if I should replace the belts, seems to me hellaof work.

I feel ya, especially the swearing part, :P
