I hate to start another thread about the same subject, but... since last week when I installed 20 inch 469m OEM takeoff wheels and tires from an F15 onto my 09', I'm trying to acquire a more leveled out stance on my 4.8i E70 (with airbags in the rear). I saw this website Product Line and was curious if anyone here has personally dealt with their products or has ever heard of anybody that has? They seem to be an extremely reasonably priced way to correct the huge gap in my rear wheel wells because I'm not wanting to go too extreme (just yet) and install a complete lowering kit on the X5. I'm just wanting to help eliminate the current raked stance and get the ride more level while maintaining as close to a stock ride as possible (considering I have a 3 week old newborn). Just fyi, to prevent blinding everyone with my headlights, I'd also have the lights adjusted accordingly IF I did indeed decide to experiment and go this route since it's so affordable. If I don't like how it turns out, oh well... Then I'll just reverse the process back to stock until I can figure out what I want to do for the long run. This is more or less just a temporary fix/experiment to see how it looks and functions because I'm not looking to slam the rear end of the vehicle, just get a tasteful leveled out stance while maintaining as close to a factory ride (for my passengers) as possible. Thanks in advance for all of your time!

but you did lol
Already told you in the other thread and in other forum that this is your only option and at 80$ just go ahead and do it. Above post shows you how to do it also. I been on here and other forum for a while and nobody did just the rear links and left front alone so you just gonna have to pull the trigger and do it. Its not an issue for most people. They either do front and back or it stays stock. good luck!

i think your not realizing that since the airbags while moving will change the ride height while moving that you actually going to get a pretty crazy reverse rake if you do just rear links.
your really only going to make it look how you want when its parked. when your driving you will look rediculous. this has nothing to do with your new wheels..... they have close the same rolling diameter as your old ones |

$80 is a lot for what they are. With a hacksaw, drill, and some threaded rod you could make the stock one's adjustable for less than $5.

This is what the adjustable one's from H&R look like.

Alright alright alright! Lol! You've all convinced me to pull the trigger and do everything at once. Lol. Now it's just a matter of deciding what kit to get because even though the H&R's are reasonably priced, I've heard many mixed reviews in regards to their springs. So I'll let the research begin and I'll put the Google machine to work. Thanks again everyone! Please feel free to weigh in on my other thread regarding my day time running light wiring issues that I have to fix thanks to uneducated techs from a dealership I had no business purchasing from.

FWIW I have the H&R springs and the ride is great.

^ I hear the HR 1.2 kit actually lowers around 2 inches, is this correct?

On my 4.8 it dropped it 1.75"
Rear links are adjusted to what H&R recommends and it sits perfectly level. |
