Brake Fluid Service is usually just a 24 month reminder. Brake fluid changes are recommended due to possibly moisture absorption. Moisture absorption can cause brake fluid performance problems if there is a high level of moisture in the fluid, it can boil and impact the temperature performance of the fluid and also cause corrosion in the braking system.

You can delay the fluid change, it is wise to change it, but 2 years is pretty conservative as well. Keep in mind some manufacturers do not recommend or remind brake fluid service and some cars never get the brake fluid flushed throughout their lifetime, not recommended, but happens all the time in the real world.

Fluid change is not probably included beyond the 48 Month/50k mile Bumper to Bumper coverage.

To reset the Service Reminder you should be able to use Carly for BMW to reset the Reminder if you choose to DIY the fluid change.
