Don't know much about the MOST system but I wouldn't be breaking off parts to connectors to make things "work". Just my opinion....

I took some things apart last night and found where the black connector hooks to the splitter (a cable removed from the top silver box in the pic above). Now I am not sure where the yellow one hooks on. I assumed incorrectly that it would go where the black one was removed. I thought the splitter split the signal between the old and HD tuners but that may not be correct. |

Perfect. Thank you for sending. Now I need to figure out where the antenna connectors hook up. I think the diversity antenna goes from the roof up front and skips the rear area. I need to poke around the headliner and see what I can find. The good news is antenna cable extensions are pretty easy to get.
The extensions look like one of these RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog thanks Last edited by smassey321; 11-05-2015 at 12:18 PM. |

Theres a MOST hub behind the left rear seat with spare slots if i recall.
The antenna connection maybe a issue. On hd tuner equipped cars the antenna connection from antenna diversity goes directly to the hd tuner in the truck, there it splits and then goes to the back of the ccc in the front. This is used by the CCC for traffic info. The ccc is coded to use external hd radio tuner for all fm and am, and not use the internal ccc tuner. |

I finally figured everything out. I had to run 2 antenna lines up to the diversity antenna in the rear hatch. So basically the antenna signal goes down to the antenna splitter and IBOC tuner and then back up to the hatch where it connects into the original antenna that goes all the way up to the CCC (for traffic info).
I stole the power/most from my Sirius which I will never use. I did need to remove the notch in the plug with a razor. My most bus was full so if if I ever want to use Sirius I will need to make some form of splitter. I got the antenna cables in 1 week from China. Send a message on ebay to vendor chinaqualitygoods and ask for below. I paid $18. The below cables have the correct connectors for both the splitter, diversity antenna and ccc antenna line. I finally got around to making a splitter for the power and most. I had to do this because my most bus was full. I purchased a cut off Sirius power/fiber plug from ebay. Next I purchased a .3 meter piece of fiber from ebay (orange in the pics) which shipped from China. The power/fiber plug is actually 3 plugs, power, fiber and a 3rd connector that the first 2 plug into so I was unsure if the ebay most splitters would work.
The fiber is in serial. So I took the fiber piece out of port 2 on the original plug and put it into port 2 of the new plug. I then used the orange jumper to go from pin 2 on original to pin 1 on new. Now IBOC and Sirius can both be seen on the bus. I got the fiber here Most Fiber Optic Optical Cable Pin to Pin Contact 1M BMW Mercedes Audi Porsche | eBay Just ask the seller for a shorter version if wanted.
