e60 SAT gear lever/shifter in X5 (or X6)

I've searched for a while before posting this, and it doesn't seem like anyone have tried this (at least not putting it online), but you never know.

I my have to upgrade from my e61 5-series to an e70 X5 in the future, and there's one thing I don't like that much in the X5, and that's the gear lever:


...which is the same as the standard one in e60 LCI:



However, in the e60 you could get the SAT shifter as well, which look like this:



This one looks much better in my opinion, but was never available for the e70/e71.

So, have anyone looked into replacing the standard shifter in e7x for the e6x SAT one? I don't care that much of the sport functionality (S1, S2 etc.), just the look.

I know the bezel around are completely different and all that, but people have done the strangest things before.
