Advice on removing aluminium plates from running boards

Afternoon all,

I've tried cleaning my running boards by removing the plastic grommets and machine polishing using abrasive pads and metal polish, but they still don't meet my OCD standards, but much better

My question is, if i order new ones, how do I remove the old ones and fit them? Are they bonded on? Just prise them off?

Graeme

Thanks for that, although still struggling to see how you separate the aluminium sections from the running boards themselves.

Hi guys,

Just to clarify, it's these aluminium plates I'm trying to seperate from the running boards, but unsure if they're bonded and therefore just need prised off or are clipped on.
