Motor Oil, What you use? First Change on my Bmw.

This will be my first oil change and wanted to know what brand of oil and filter you guys use? or just buy from the stealer?

I am seeing this info:
BMW High Performance
Fully Synthetic Oil SAE 5W-30

and 0w-40 witch is not for me where i live.

Thanks for any advice!.
Regards,

Soo many oil threads on here already so im sure you will find your answer after a quick seach. Just use OEM filter which you can get from online for cheaper. Most people go with mobile 1 full synthetic or castrol.

You know on auto forums you will get like 400 opinions on oil right??
Looks like you have the 2013 so like Ard hinted at, keep it simple and if its in warranty stick with OE recommended for sure, and I would say even if its not in warranty just do the same.
And save your time to worry about other stuff!

Yes, lot of opinions so that'a why i asked.
But i will buy the OE directly from them, and to have the receipts in case anything may happen, till 100k.

It will be 7 qt's of motor oil and is around $6.99, and the oil filter witch from i remember is around $16.99

Now anyone knows what will be the oil pan screw torque specs?

Thanks.

LOL

By memory it is 25Nm or 18 ft-lbs for the drain plug. You need a new crush washer, which should come with the oil filter

Elsewhere I have a jpg of a sign:

This site has gone __2_ days without a new oil thread.

But honestly, it isnt as bad as it has been in the past....
