Center console/armrest cigarette socket replacement
The center console/armrest cigarette lighter receptacle isn't working. The USB port is working as are the receptacles in the front and back. I've checked and double checked with different devices. It straight up isn't working. I've looked closely at the console and didn't see any obvious way of taking it apart. I didn't want to just start yanking on things and likely break something. Does anyone know how to replace this thing? Or at least know how the console comes apart? Thanks in advance! ~Nathan |

Have you checked the fuse? It may be fused separately than the others.

I believe you posted this same question on either a dedicated e53 forum...or a forum for both the e53 & e70.It helps us to help you better if you include your model/model year/build date (some type of details about the X5 you have and the specific model). For instance, in that other thread...you were given incorrect info about the location of a screw that would release the panel...but since it was an e53 forum (or thread started by an e53 forum member)...it was assumed that you had the same set-up. Due to you have an "X5"...and there are now 3 different generation (e53/e70/f15)...you have to somehow differentiate or be more specific so that we know the perspective of your questions...and give suggestions, recommendations, instructions, answers that are specific to the model/model year/build date you have.
