I've got $500 free to spend at the dealer - what should I do?
A year ago, as part of VW's apology package I received a $500 dealer gift card that I still have not used, and it expires at the end of November. Granted they are not a BMW dealer, but they technically will do work on anything that I drop off, VW or not. So this is what it comes down to. I have a use-it-or-lose-it $500, and I need to find something for them to do. I was thinking about maybe seeing if they could order me a new high beam assistant rear view mirror, since that is one option that I do not have, but I am not set on that idea. Does anybody have any recommendations? Things to have them check? Etc?

they'd probably prefer you to spend it on an in-house service. have it properly detailed inside out, top to bottom with a toothbrush

Or, at 56k miles granted sort of early but.. get your transmission fluid drained and filled, no filter. Then if any money left get detailing or get a hitch put on if you dont have any. Not sure what the dealer charges for all that work.
