CAS EWS Alignment Code 2F44 crank no start

Was trying to register my new autozone battery on my 08 4.8 x5 and messed everything up. Car cranks but wont start. Code i got was 2f44 in inpa which means that the ews is not aligned. Anyway to undo this?

What diagnostic tool do you use?
These 4.4/4.8i computers loose the rolling code sync between the CAS and DME very easy. EWS is the immobilizer, but in E70 it is part of the CAS module.

i'm not 100% on how the E70s deal with it but for older models, in INPA navigate to your EWS, find where it says "startwert uebertragen" (transmit start value) and "startwert zuruecksetzen" (reset start value)
one sets the EWS back to the beginning of the code table, the other tells the DME to do the same. again, i'm not familiar with how E70s handle their immobiliser codes, but older models do it like that.

In a CAS models it must be one time synchronistion of the rolling code. Dont know how the function is called in INPA, but should be somewhere in the DME>adaptations or special functions.

This option "sync motor. Ecu" is what i touched in the beginning which is giving me my problem. That option is located in Body > Car Access System > Activate.

When I select my engine (ME 9 For N62) i get an error saying that the ecu found on my car is N62_TUE2. I select the other options for N52 and it goes to a menu thats in german.

You need to access this function from the DME menu, if I am not mistaken. Or you need a different psdz data.
