Could you program this to automatically start your engine when coolant temps reach a given threshold?

That is not a supported feature at all. I'm sure that you could somehow do something SUPER custom to accomplish this, but the levels of difficulty would be astounding.

I've also noticed that the time to unlock is a lot slower when I touch the door handle -- like 2-3 seconds.

Anyone have an ideas?
I have the exact same module installed and can confirm that it takes a couple seconds longer to unlock when grab the door handle. As for the shut off when door is open, you can program it so the it doesnt do that. I actually programmed mine to shut off when i open the door.

I just had an iDatalink remote start w/ DroneMobile option (to start with my phone) and am experiencing a different "qwerk" when starting. No matter what I do - the engine shuts off when the door is opened. However, when I took it back to the installer, it functions perfectly - I can open any door and even the trunk and the engine will not shut off. I open the drivers door, step on the brake and am able to drive off seamlessly.

When I returned home and attempt to remote start and enter the truck - the engine dies (no matter if I use the fob or the phone app).

Anybody have any thoughts why it works flawlessly in the installer's shop only? Any chance it's on his network or wifi or something?

Any help GREATLY appreciated.

This is driving me nuts!!!

I just had the installer replace the module and wiring... and the EXACT same issue persists!!! The engine shuts off as soon as the door (any Door) is opened. Is must be a software issue. The most frustrating thing is that it worked initially - then started shutting off.

Anyone got a suggestion in the NJ/NYC area???

Desperate to try to figure this out.

Thanks.

I've been running the idatastart system a while now and it works great. I also have the Drone addon so I use my phone to control my car

captain_jim1 - You ever figure what was causing your shut-off when opening the door? I now have the added issue of the drivers door instantly re-locking after unlocking and attempting to enter.

Think I'm ripping the whole thing out this weekend!!! I'm done.
