Car Bra for 2010 E70 LCI M-Sport

Hi,

I have a 2010 X5 LCI M-Sport. I want to buy a car bra which fits the slightly unusual M-Sport bumper.

Anybody know of a good shop? Anywhere worldwide is fine. Had no luck finding anyone decent in Australia.

My front bumper looks like the photo below

Cheers + thanks

Have you owned a bra before? Total PITA... if it rains, you need to get it off, clean it and dry it- dirt in the water on the road gets driven up underneath- leaving it will damage paint.

Drive through mud? same

If you want 'that look' (ie 1980s vibe) then go for it....otherwise I highly highly recommend a 'clear bra' or 3M protective film

Finally, is Colgan still around? Contact them at [email protected]... dont just look at the website, explain your concern, attach a picture see what they say. And bummer about that plate on the front.

Exactly what ard said... go for a clear film bra/cover of some type.

Yep. Had a car bra on my E53 (pretty sure it was genuine BMW, but was very difficult to find). It was fine. Wouldn't use it day to day but for my needs it was perfect.

I don't want film. I want something I can remove when in the city.

I need the Bra for rare country trips, then want back to stock when I'm around town.

I will only use it 2 - 3 times per year on very long interstate trips where stones from big trucks is a problem. (won't help much for kangaroos)

You know the bra is likely to scratch the paintwork, right?

Maybe you guys have had cheap ones in the past.

I had an E53 for 4 years. I used a genuine bra for all long trips. It was fine.
It was only ever on for 6-8 days per year, and I washed it inside and out after use. Never a scratch

I had same on an older Porsche. The cheap crap ones might scratch, or if you leave them on for a long time. Never had a problem myself.

I'm driving in country Australia during holiday season. Usually dry. Biggest problem is stones flicked up from trucks coming the other way on single carriageway roads (we're not talking about freeways here)

I've seen what films look like after 3-6 months in Australia. Not going down that road.

SO, back to my original question: does anyone (preferably in Australia) know where I can get an x5 e70 bra?
