here is my BMW: 2012 BMW X5 diesel, black in color, always garaged, not even a ding, paint is excellent, I detail my cars every few months, only has 65K, 19" stock sport wheels, still good tires (Not run-flats), got the conti DWS, I even has the factory flat tire, since I do not have the third row seat. the stealership only offered me $8K for the trade in.......I laughed at them. they told me that the BMW has outstanding recall on the air-bags, so they can not even sell the vehicle after they buy it from me. anyone has any bad story or experience with their BMW trade-ins? |

You can get the airbag fixed by telling BMWNA that you cannot trade it in. They will prioritize you immediately.
But hey, I'll give you 9k.

Sorry, guys.....I have seen similar X5 diesel selling on CarMax for around $28K. I was only asking for $20K for the vehicle. the X5 has no issue, except the stupid air bag recalls for both front. nothing wrong with the X5, still look brand new. I never had any issue with my X5. Always serviced by my local BMW dealership. KBB shows FAIR condition for my X5 is between $16 to $19K.

The car would have to be truely exceptional to pull $20k without third row. And you haven't mentioned what other options it does have.

Not surprised, that's why I had all of the recall stuff done in case I had the urge to trade it in.

its the outstanding recalls that our X5 has that cause the low price value, the stealership contacted me yesterday and offered me $15K. I will also pass on that offer. I just spent $2K with new tires and brakes. I just want to test the water for the value of our X5. my X5 has no issue and done all my recalls except two stupid air bags in the front.
the stealership told me that my X5 is in very good condition, if there is no outstanding recalls on my X5, they can offer me the $20K for trade-in. |

How about the front driveshaft recall? I believe there are many 2012 X5s that have that recall under their belts, too.

As I told you above, call BMWNA tell them you cannot trade the car with recalls- and you WILL get prioritized. Or is it that you really just wanna piss and moan? |
