Air blowing rear, but nothing in front vents. Final State Resistor
I replaced my AC compressor and belt last week and yesterday my front vents are not working properly. The rear vents are blowing air both hot and AC cold, but the front has no air coming out. I checked the settings on idrive and its all correct. Based on forum research the culprit is most likely the final stage resistor. My question is which one do i get? I know the older models of the x5 use the one with a lot of spikes sticking out, but when i search for the e70 it shows two.
Which one do i get? #1 ![]() #2

How are you searching? Are you using a bmw part database & inputting your VIN to pull up specific diagrams & part nbr index for your model & build date? Or are you searching generically for an e70 X5?
I'd suggest using a bmw part database & your VIN...then search using the correct 11 digit bmw part nbr specific to your vehicle & application (main blower, rear blower, or 3rd seat blower?). Using the part database may clear up which one you need...especially if you don't have the 3rd row seats. Since you have no model/model year/build date info...you'll have to look up things yourself...you can use any of the 3 sites below: BMW Parts Catalog BMWfans.info Www.etk.cc {Do you need or did you order #5 (main blower)}
