Need DIY instructions for replacing VOLTAGE REGULATOR on my N62
I would like to have your opinion as I am thinking of replacing voltage regulator on my 2009 N62 and I know you have cleaned your alternator, so can you tell me if I need any special tools for this job and if you can provide me with a set of DIY instructions it will be really nice. This is my first diy thing on my N62. I would appreciate any kind of input about this. Thanks Rick |

All you really need to find is a DIY on removing the alternator. Should be easy to find on YouTube. The voltage regulator is self explanatory just by looking at it. Mine came with instructions. The key takeaway is "setting it" after you install it on the alternator. In other words, making sure the "teeth" are making contact with the alternator spindle. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING THE JOB.
