Hi,

Yes, you will need to change the build date (I used #1011) and then VO code the module.

Here is a tutorial on changing the VO:

This forum has all kinds of good info on coding:

Thanks again John, I am able to VO code and manipulate settings, just wasn’t sure about the build date ...

BMW Coding Forum ... Hmmm, signed up ages ago but still am not able to post or see attachments, says I don’t have enough privileges 🙄 so I avoid that one!
Very frustrating!!

Note that if you are working with a Pre-LCI X5, as I was, you also must do the folllowing:
1. Replace the JBBF (Junction Box module under the glove box) with a newer LCI module
2. Extend all of the PDC sensor wires from the old PDC in the Left rear area to the new JBBF module (which has the PDC built into it)
3. Remove the old PDC module
4. Code the new JBBF module

Enjoy,
John
Great post. Got any tips to extend the PDC wires? The Amazon link no longer works. I see the newer JBBF has an additional socket. Also, some people doing this retrofit on E90s are using an E84 PDC which could go in the original E70 pre-lci location.

I just picked up a cheap TRSVC and rear camera. I have a 2009 w/ CIC retrofit and have been suffering with the original pre-lci camera for years. Thanks
