Probably very old threat, but searcher on tablet does not work!
How to reset tcu or bt module if battery and pulling out of main cable on tcu does not help? Plus I have that sos failure because of that!

Unplugged + cable from battery... after that I saw all phone functions on iDrive for about 30sec and gone again
Can not understand is the tcu module completelly dead...or not if it shows functions for at least at the beggining!
I have no factory phone installed!

My guess is that the car/iDrive assumes those functions are there as it is part of it's configuration. So on power up this is presented. BUT, when the Idrive then communicates with the TCU and it fails to communicate, they become disabled.

It isn't like the TCU was working for a few seconds then stopped- it has to do with how the whole group of modules and software loads, and is tested internally.

IMO

Try clearing TCU alone. Power off and power on car, check again. Try clear again. Carly is sometimes buggy and when clearing multiple codes it will mess up.

Replace TCU

Had the SOS warning along with High Battery Drain message. After triangulation (trying resets, pulling fuses, etc.), determined that the TCU had failed. Rather than purchasing the fiber jumper, I purchased a replacement TCU with the same software and hardware versions (made just a few months apart). Swapped the units and BT is back and the SOS and High Battery Drain warning are gone. It's an easy swap. The only challenge is removing the clips from the wire connectors.
