2012 X5 Pre-Wired for rear seat entertainment?

I posted this yesterday in mobile electronics but thought I'd try here as well.

Does anybody know for sure if it is or isn't?

I'm referring to the wires in the back of the center console that would plug into the DVD player.

Are you sure you need this option? That option is for kids...and that factory dvd is not as good as tablet on the headrest! My child is walking through the seats everytime if there would be dvd player...it would be broken! That dvd holder has to be in opened position otherwise you can not open armrest...when it is in down position it is disturbing your arm

That's about all the reasons I took it out of my 2008. I sold it to a guy with a 2012 and he is complaining that the wires aren't already there. It was an option that year and I can't find a part number for a sub harness which leads me to believe they are there somewhere but was hoping someone new for sure.

Hmmm...so they bought parts without checking if they were pre-wired?

Here's a link to the BMW TIS that has some links that may help with install of the rear entertainment system: https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...=entertainment

My thoughts exactly, and I tried to convey that as clear as I could in the listing:

BMW X5 Rear Seat Entertainment Sytem COMPLETE! | eBay

But he's filed a complaint with eBay so now I have to do something.

I think you will be fine. They can complain all they want, the listing was very clear. If you decide to I think you can cancel the transaction and start over. However, you did nothing wrong. It may tie up the payment for a bit though untill they review it.
