Just replaced both rear air springs, X5 is not level.

so i just replaced both leaky air bags with Arnott branded ones. installation went smoothly, but now the right side is about 1 1/2 inch lower. how do I get it to self level correctly? will it level out by itself? It's been several days now.

Thanks guys.

Check level sensors for damage.

They can be calibrated with INPA but 1 1/2 inches is a lot, increasing the likelihood of something wrong with a sensor.

had odd heights when doing suspension work with bags... put a few miles on it and it figured itself out. have you put any miles on it?

that should be enough... im thinking you have a busted sensor giving a bad reading or a connector to one is loose.

they look like that and should be pretty easy to spot at the corners. i would clean their connections. be gentle, the connectors are prob brittle. i usually break 1 out of every 10 i touch. then get fancy with a zip tie.

side comment, how is the battery? i know these e53s get all pissy when the battery is weak. look up how to check the battery voltage while running and whatnot see if it's good.
