Pet/Cargo Barrier for X5

Has anybody any experience with the following pet/cargo barrier for the X5, appears it is custom designed for the X5? DOG GUARD - BMW X5 (2007-/2010-)

Any other options out there?

I have a Travall dog guard for my Audi Avant. It's very well made, designed for each vehicle specifically so no generic fit, and visibility is excellent though the large apertures of the guard. It mounts quite tightly and feels secure. It is not terribly difficult to uninstall it if you want to take it out but more likely than not, it will remain installed.

I know BMW makes a nice nylon mesh pet barrier for the E53 (I have one) and they must make an E70 version. If BMW does, brand new prices will likely be steep.

An old thread, but I just installed one of these over the weekend, and highly recommend it. As with the comment above for another fitment of their product, it is secure, well designed (full functionality of seats, cargo cover, etc.), does not rattle, and is not difficult to install or remove. Amazon sells them, but they do come from the UK, so shipping is very expensive. However, with their 'lowest' price method, it was shipped FedEx, and I had it in 3 days.

Thanks for digging this old thread up. I still haven't bought one, but your post makes me think I should... Thanks again!

Edit: Just placed an order.

I sold my X5 so no longer need the Travall pet/cargo barrier. If anybody is interested in it, send me a PM...
